Delvine Pitjara was born in 1982 at Utopia, north east of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.

She is the younger sister of well-known Utopia artist Anna Pitjara and her mother was artist Glory Ngale.

Delvine uses fine dot work to represent the undulating sandhills and formations of dry river beds that mark the landscape around Utopia. The paintings are graphic representations, mostly rendered in black and white, that reveal the important sites and locations scattered across the landscape.
