Cindy Morton Pwerle was born 1976 at Utopia, north east of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.

She comes from a family of talented artists, her mother is the well-known artist Gracie Morton Pwerle and her great-aunt is Gloria Petyarre.

Cindy paints the story of the Bush Plum, an important food source for the Aboriginal people.   One of her unique styles uses fine, layered dots that capture the bush plum in various stages of ripeness and the white lines that lie on top are indicative of the cracked desert earth upon which they grow.
