Ronnie was born in 1972, in Utopia, north east of Alice Springs, Northern Territory. His mother is renowned artist Ada Bird Petyarre.
Ronnie learned to paint from his uncle Lindsey Bird when he was young. The traditional dot style paintings depict Men's Ceremony, stories told to him by his father and uncles around the campfire.
His use of vibrant colours makes his pieces really stand out.
Ronnie is married to renowned artist Janet Golder Kngwarreye and they have 4 children. Ronnie and Janet spend their time between Alice Springs and Gillen Bore, in the Utopia region.
