Anna was born in Utopia, north east of Alice Springs, Northern Territory, in c1965. She began painting in the early 1980s and since then has established herself as one of the leading artists to emerge from the Utopia region. Anna’s mother is Glory Ngale and her aunt, the late Emily Kame Kngwarreye.who is well known for her paintings on canvas as well as her work with batik silk.
Anna paints stories that are associated with Yam Seed Dreaming, Sandhills and Women’s Body Paint. She is a very creative artist and her works are colourful and intricate.
Anna’s work can be found hanging in galleries and private collections around Australia and the world.
